Class 1        Beginners WHP 8 years and under

                   Jumps will be tiny and help allowed.

 

Class 2        Beginners WHP any age/height – class may be split if entries warrant.  If this class is split, there will be a Championship.

Class 3        P(UK) Horselode M&M Working Hunter Pony Winter Championship Qualifier

                   Mixed Mountain and Moorland WHP Stallion, Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over, registered in the Pure Bred Section of the Breed Societies Stud Books or Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Connemara, Dales, Fells, Highlands, New Forest and Welsh Sections A B C and D.  Rider any age.

 

Class 4        Ponies (UK) Winter Junior Zenith Championship Qualifier – not exceeding 133 cms, riders not to have attained their 12th Birthday before the 1st January in the current year, max height of fences 68 cms

                   Working Hunter Pony Mare or Gelding 4 years old and over, now exceeding 158 cms.  Riders must be the correct age for the animal they ride as stated in the 2009 Rule Book – 133 cm/14 years 143cms/17 years 153cms/20 years 158cms/25 years  This class will be split if entries warrant

 

Class 8        P(UK) Confined Novice Downland Smuggler WHP Winter Championship Qualifier

                   Working Hunter Pony Mare or Gelding 4 years old and over NOT to have won a first prize of £10 or more in an open WHP class before the 1st January in the current year, not exceeding 158cms.  Riders must be the correct age for the animal they ride as stated in the 2009 Rule Book.  This class will be split if entries warrant

                   Exhibits to be registered in the Part Bred section of their Breed Society, Stallion Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over, any height, rider any age.

This show is a qualifier for the 2009 P(UK) Winter Championship Show.  The 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each qualifying class will qualify.  Competitors in qualifying positions, who are not current members of Ponies (UK) are allowed 14 days in which to become members and register their horses/ponies in order for the qualification to remain valid.  No qualification cards will be awarded in the ring.  Competitors may enter wither Northern, Southern or both Winter Championships

This show is a qualifier for the NCPA Pony of the Year Show and the Part Bred Welsh Ridden Championships held in conjunction with the Pony of the Year Show in September 2009.  First and second prize winners in appropriate classes will qualify and the highest not qualified in the first six for Part Bred Welsh in appropriate classes.
